Oh dear! I had had to pull out of the 100k Ultra Challenge.
When I looked at the training plan there was NO way I could get the level of training done – and put in the hours needed – alongside doing my Health Coaching Course and other commitments I have.
When I signed up for the challenge, I didn’t have the same level of commitment – but as we know things in life change and we need to re-assess, re-evaluate and sometimes that means changing plans.
Years ago I may have tried to make this work – and almost killed myself in the process – as I really don’t like pulling out of things I have committed to. But sometimes we need to look at priorities and what is really important.
- My rest is really important – as is everyone’s
- My Health Coaching course and the work needed for that is really important
- My personal family commitments are important
- Building my business is important
- Fitting in a ton of training – that really doesn’t fit in with the above – and doing a challenge is NOT important (just now anyway lol)
What I will be doing, is going to Brighton mega early the morning the challenge will be ending, walking up from the finish point and finding some friends who are doing the challenge and then walking back to the finish with them.
Maybe it will happen some other time………..
I will update you again when I go to meet friends at the finish line.
