What is GLOW anyway?
Do you look at people sometimes and say “Wow they really are glowing” ……. and wonder what their secret is? Well, I will let you into my “secrets” on this site – and they are not really secrets
To me, having a glow and sparkle about you it is all about putting good lifestyle choices into place including:
- Having a good DAILY skincare routine
- The foods you eat and what drinks you consume
- Taking regular exercise that increase your heart rate
- Having some self-care “things” in your life
- Reducing stress
- Having a good sleep pattern
- Having positive and supportive people around you
- Making time for FUN
- AND loads more besides the above
It’s what you put ON your body as well as what goes IN your body that gives you that glow – and what goes in refers to not only what you eat and drink but what you read, what you watch on TV, what people you talk to….basically all the “stuff” that is constantly going into your brain affects your external glow and sparkle.
My name is Eileen Connelly. I am a holistic practitioner and my passion is working with those people who feel like their “get up and go” has literally got up and left!
We live in a very stressful world – rushing around for work, family and other commitments while trying to eat healthy foods, fit in some exercise and get some relaxation time in as well. It all gets very overwhelming and tiring………..and we lose that sparkle we once had in bundles.
We are also exposed to toxins daily, and now more than ever many people like yourself are looking at ways to reduce the toxic overload by eating less processed foods and drinks, using skincare products that are more natural and not heavily chemical based and looking for more natural ways for relaxation and reducing stress levels (stress is toxic to the body).
Changing your lifestyle can seem complicated and unachievable but this site will give you simple tips and strategies to make it much easier. We also live in a “I want it now” world, but change takes time and it should also be enjoyable and not feel like a hard slog!
I was one of those people constantly running around doing a million things at a hundred miles an hour! It really is exhausting and it takes its toll on the mind, body and spirit – and affects those close to us as well. We really do need to nurture ourselves BEFORE that toll takes hold. You know the saying…..prevention is better than cure…..but often we only look at our overall wellbeing when we become sick.
Over the last few years I have become more and more interested in natural wellbeing and natural ways to glow. I love to share what I learn with others and help them regain that sparkle, get that spring back in their step and get them shining and glowing and feeling great again.
I LOVE natural skincare (and getting a bit obsessed with it now), so you will get tons of information about how to care and cherish the skin you live in.
As a holistic therapist, my clients often arrive feeling quite stressed from work pressures, family issues and just feel down from the general treadmill of life. It is such an amazing feeling to see someone go from feeling down and stressed to being happy, smiley and energised. All because they took an hour or so away from day to day life and had a treatment – maybe massage, reiki, facial treatment with facial massage and sometimes a combination of them all with some aromatherapy included as well.
Self care really is important for our wellbeing and we all need to take some time out to fill our wellbeing cup.
Sometimes even an outside walk and a chat with a mate does the trick.

Oh…..I almost forgot to mention this.
